Turn on error reporting to maximum (open and set error reporting to 'maximum';) Then check for error_log file using your file manager. Not so long ago I changed from php 5.6 to php 7.0 I forgot to change the upload_max_files in the for the php 7.0 version. After upgrade (to 3.8.2 by now) I went back to PHP 7.0 and all good.
